You know that I do not mince words and what I have to say I will-I call a spade a spade-now it is too late for me to learn the tricks of being called a ‘secularist’ if that means a bias for, one, and a bias against, another.

Hussain is now a citizen of Qatar-this has generated enough of heat and less of light. Qatar you know better than me is not a country which respects democracy or freedom of expression. Hussain says he has complete freedom-I challenge him to paint a picture of Mohammed fully clad.

There is no second opinion that artists have the Right of Freedom of expression. Is such a right restricted only to Hussain? Will that right not flow to Dan Brown-why was his film-Da Vinci Code not screened? Why was Satanic Verses banned-does Salman Rushdie not have that freedom of expression? Similarly why is Taslima hunted and hounded and why fatwas have been issued on both these writers? Why has Qatar not offered citizenship to Taslima? In the present rioting in Shimoga in Karnataka against the article Taslima wrote against the tradition of burqua which appeared in the Out Look in Jan 2007.No body protested then either in Delhi or in any other part of the country; now when it reappears in a Karnataka paper there is rioting. Is there a political agenda to create a problem in Karnataka by the intolerant goons? Why has the media not condemned this insensitivity and intolerance of the Muslims against Taslima’s views? When it comes to the Sangh Parivar it is quick to call them goons and intolerant etc. Now who are the goons and where is this tolerance and sensitivity?

Regarding Hussain’s artistic freedom it seems to run unfettered in an expression of sexual perversion only when he envisages the Hindu Gods and Goddesses. There is no quarrel had he painted a nude woman sitting on the tail of a monkey. The point is he captioned it as Sita. Nobody would have protested against the sexual perversion and his orientatation to sexual signs and symbols. But would he dare to caption it as ‘Fatima enjoying in Jannat with animals’?

Next example-is the painting of Saraswati copulating with a lion. Here again his perversion is evident and so is his intent. Even that lets concede cannot be faulted-each one’s sexual orientation is each one’s business I suppose. But he captioned it as Saraswati. This is the problem. It is Hussain’s business to enjoy in painting his sexual perversion. But why use Saraswati and Sita for his perverted expressions? Use Fatima and watch the consequence. Let the media people come to his rescue then. Now that he is in a country that gives him complete freedom let him go ahead and paint Fatima copulating with a lion or any other animal of his choice. And then turn around and prove to India-the Freedom of expression he enjoys in Qatar.

Talking about Freedom of Expression-this is the Hussain who supported Emergency-painted Indira Gandhi as Durga slaying Jayaprakas Narayan. He supported the jailing of artists and writers. Where did this Freedom of Expression go? And you call him secularist? Would you support the jailing of artists and writers Ram –would you support the abeyance of the Constitution and all that we held sacred in democracy and the excessiveness of Indira Gandhi to gag the media-writers- political opponents? Tell me honesty why does Hussain expect this Freedom when he himself did not support others with the same freedom he wants? And the media has rushed to his rescue. Had it been a Ram who painted such obnoxious, .degrading painting-the reactions of the media and the elite ‘secularists’ would have been different; because there is a different perception/and index of secularism when it comes to Ram-and a different perception/and index of secularism when it comes to Rahim/Hussain.

It brings back to my mind an episode that happened to The Hindu some years ago.[1991]. You had a separate weekly page for children with cartoons, quizzes, and with poems and articles of school children. In one such weekly page The Hindu printed a venerable bearded man-fully robed with head dress, mouthing some passages of the Koran-trying to teach children .It was done not only in good faith but as a part of inculcating values to children from the Koran. All hell broke loose. Your office witnessed goons who rushed in-demanded an apology-held out threats. In Ambur,Vaniambadi and Vellore the papers stands were burned-the copies of The Hindu were consigned to the fire. A threat to raise the issue in Parliament through a Private Members Bill was held out-Hectic activities went on-I am not sure of the nature and the machinations behind the scene. But The Hindu next day brought out a public apology in its front page. Where were you Ram? How secular and tolerant were the Muslims?

Well this is of the past-today it is worse because the communal temperature in this country is at a all high-even a small friction can ignite and demolition the country’s peace and harmony. It is against this background that one should view Hussain who is bent on abusing and insulting the Hindu Gods and Goddesses. Respect for religious sentiments, need to maintain peace and harmony should also be part of the agenda of an artist-if he is great. If it is absent then he cannot say that he respects India and express his longing for India.

Let’s face it-he is a fugitive of law. Age and religion are immaterial. What does the media want-that he be absolved by the courts? Even for that he has to appear in the courts-he cannot run away-After all this is the country where he lived and gave expression to his pervert sadist, erotic artistic mind under Freedom of Expression. I simply cannot jump into the bandwagon of the elite ‘secularist’ and uphold what he had done. With his brush he had committed jihad-bloodletting.

The issue is just not nudity-Yes the temples-the frescos in Konarak and Kajhuraho have nude figures-But does it say that they are Sita, Sarswati or any goddesses? We have the Yoni and the Phallus as sacred signs of Life-of Siva and Shakthi-take these icons to the streets, paint them -give it a caption it become vulgar. Times have changed. Even granted that our ancients sculptured and painted naked forms and figures, with a pervert mind to demean religion is no license to repeat that in today’s changed political and social scenario and is not a sign of secularism and tolerance. I repeat there is no quarrel with nudity-painters have time and again found in it the perfection of God’s hand craft.

Let me wish Hussain peace in Qatar-the totalitarian regime with zero tolerance May be he will convince the regime there to permit freedom of expression in word, writing and painting. For this he could start experimenting painting forms and figure of Mohamed the Prophet-and his family And may I fervently wish that the media-especially The Hindu does not discriminate goons-let it not substitute tolerance for intolerance when it comes to Rahim and Antony and another index for Ram.

I hope you will read this in the same spirit that I have written. All the best to you Ram.

Dr Mrs Hilda Raja, Vadodara

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://new-bharat.blogspot.com/2010/03/m-f-husain-culprit.html' title='M. Then please answer these questions ,

1. There are nearly 52 Muslim countries. Show one Muslim country which provides Haj subsidy.

2. Show one Muslim country where Hindus are extended the special rights that Muslims are accorded in india?

3. Show one Muslim country which has a Non-Muslim as its President or PrimeMinister.

4. Show one country where the 85% majority craves for the indulgence of the 15% minority.

5. Show one Mullah or Maulvi who has declared a 'fatwa'against terrorists.

6. Hindu-majority Maharashtra, Bihar, Kerala,Pondicherry, etc. have in the past elected Muslims as CMs; Can you ever imagine a Hindu becoming the CM of Muslim - majority J&K?

7. Today Hindus constitute 85% of the Indian population. If Hindus are intolerant, how come Masjids and Madrassas are thriving? How come Muslims are offering Namaz on the road? How come Muslims are proclaiming 5 times a day on loudspeakers that there is no God except Allah?

8. When Hindus gave to Muslims 30% of Bharat for a song, why should Hindus now beg for their sacred places at Ayodhya, Mathura and Kashi?

9. Why temple funds are spent for the welfare of Muslims and Christians, when they are free to spend their money in any way they like?

10. When uniform is made compulsory for school children, whythere

is no Uniform Civil Code for citizens?

11. In what way, J&K is different from Maharashtra, TamilNadu or Uttar Pradesh, to have article 370?

12. Why did Gandhiji support the Khilafat Movement (nothing to do with our freedom movement) and what did he get in turn ?

13. Why did Gandhiji object to the decision of the cabinet and insisted that Somnath Temple should be reconstructed out of public fund, and not with government funds; when in January 1948, he presurrised Nehru and Patel to carry on renovation of the mosques of Delhi at government expenses?

14. If Muslims & Christians are minorities in Maharashtra, UP, Bihar etc., are Hindus not minorities in J&K, Mizoram, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya etc.? Why are Hindus denied minority rights in these states?

15. Do you admit that Hindus do have problems that need to be recognized. Or, do you think that those who call themselves Hindus are themselves the problem?

16. Why has post-Godhra been blown out of proportion, when no-one talks of the ethnic cleansing of 4 lakh Hindus from Kashmir?

17. In 1947, when India was partitioned, the Hindu population in Pakistan was about 24%. Today it is not even 1%. In 1947, the Hindu population in East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) was 30%. Today it is about 7%.

What happened to the missing Hindus? Do Hindus have human rights at all?

18. In contrast, in India, the Muslim population has gone up from 10.4% in 1951 to about 14% today; whereas the Hindu population has come down from 87.2% in 1951 to 85% in 1991. Do you still think that Hindus are fundamentalists?

19. Do you consider that -

Sanskrit is communal and Urdu is Secular,

Mandir is Communal and Masjid is Secular,

Sadhu is Communal and Imam is Secular,

BJP is communal and Muslim League is Secular,

Dr. PraveenBhai Togadia is ANTI-NATIONAL and Bhukari is Secular,

Vande Matharam is communal and Allah-O-Akbar is secular,

Shriman is communal and Mian is secular,

Hinduism is Communal and Islam is Secular,

Hindutva is communal and Jihadism is secular, and at last,

Bharat is communal and Italy is Secular?

20. When Christian and Muslim schools can teach Bible and Quran, Why can't Hindus teach Gita or Ramayan?

21. Abdul Rehman Antuley was made a trustee of the famous Siddhi Vinayak Temple in Prabhadevi, Mumbai. Can a Hindu - say Mulayam or Laloo - ever become a trustee of a Masjid or Madrassa?

22. Dr. Praveenbhai Togadia has been arrested many times on flimsy grounds. Has the Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid, Delhi, Ahmed Bhukari been arrested for claiming to be an ISI agent and advocating partition of Bharat?

23. When Haj pilgrims are given subsidy, why Hindu pilgrims to Amarnath, Sabarimalai & Kailash Mansarovar are extra taxed?

24. A Muslim President, A Hindu Prime Minister and a Christian Defence Minister carried out the affairs of the nation with a unity of purpose.

Can this happen anywhere, except in a HINDU NATION - BHARAT?

If you choose to (and think it is correct) please forward it to as many Indians as possible

TAKEN FROM A LETTER IN A FORUM. When few heeded his warning, he went home and read up on the creature. The next day, he went to the beach with a bagful of lemons, bought with his own money, and administered lime juice on every sting injury as he had read it would provide relief. This incident was probably a glimpse of the rare quality that led the same man, assistant SI Tukaram Omble, to pounce on a gun-toting terrorist in the wee hours of November 27, and pin him down bare-handed, in spite of five bullets lodged in his body. Going beyond the defined call of duty was characteristic of 54-year-old Omble, attached to DB Marg police station, whose heroic effort helped police nab one of the 26/11 attackers, Lashkar operative Mohammed Ajmal Amir Qasab, alive near Girgaum Chowpatty.Omble never won a medal or showed outstanding bravery in his 34-year career, but his family and friends understand how and why he did it. “Courage, honesty, dedication and commitment were not special virtues for Omble. They were just an inseparable part of his sense of duty. They just came as a natural response to situations,” says ASI Ashok Phatak, Omble's friend and colleague for over 22 years. These virtues, though not always on show, were visible in simple things that Omble did in his daily life. In a force that justifiably cribs about odd working hours and dearth of leave, Omble rarely took a day off, even if he was unwell. His daughter Vaishali, a private tutor, still remembers the day when her terribly sick father insisted on joining duty for Ganesh Chaturthi as “it was important for him to be there”.Continuous duty for several days had left him very stressed, and the night before that, he even suffered a mild stroke. Still, he started for work early, ignoring our pleas to stay home,” says Vaishali. It was this commitment to work that also made Omble a very punctual and methodical policeman. “He believed that if he reached on time, the policeman relieved by him would also be punctual. But if his reliever didn’t turn up for some reason, he would stay back for extra duty and still manage to come on time the next day. Though he had studied only up to Class IX, he had a very thorough knowledge of law. He was meticulous and kept educating himself,” says constable Sanjay Chaudhary, Omble’s colleague at DB Marg police station.Adds Phatak, “Omble was never reluctant to take up any duty assigned to him. Never in his career did he try to lobby or persuade his seniors for posting in a ‘good’ department. For him, all departments were the same, based on the same principles of policing.”Omble, born to a Satara farmer, was the youngest of three sons and a daughter. The unassuming boy who grew up to be a cop now has to his credit an extraordinary feat. The fact that it went unrecognised for many days after 26/11 has hurt his family and friends. But had Omble been alive, it probably wouldn’t have made any difference to him. Last year, while Omble was on duty at Lamington Road, he saw policemen from Nagpada police station chasing a thief. He set his pet dog after the thief and trapped the miscreant by entering the street from the opposite side. He then handed over the thief to Nagpada police. No one mentioned his name to the seniors when the operation was over. And Omble never thought it necessary to take credit for it. “That’s how he was. He never worked for a reward,” says Phatak.
Tukaram Omble’s daughter Vaishali says he wouldn’t take a day off even if he was unwellWhat happened on 26/11Tukaram Omble, stationed at beat chowki No.1 at Prarthana Samaj, was summoned to Girgaum Chowpatty on the night of November 26 as word spread that CST had been attacked and the terrorists had fled. Barricades were put up on the road near Girgaum Chowpatty with about 20 policemen, including Omble, manning it.Around 12.15 am, they got a wireless message that the terrorists had hijacked a Skoda car and were moving towards Marine Drive. The policemen took up position. A few officers, including PSI Bhaskar Kadam, PSI Sanjay Govilkar and API Hemant Bavdhankar went across the road, while Omble remained behind the barricades. At 12.30 pm, the Skoda approached at high speed, but stopped 50 feet from the barricades. Suddenly, the beam lights went on, and the car swerved towards the barricades. Just before hitting them, it turned right to jump the divider, but got stuck.Omble was the first to rush out from behind the barricades. Qasab came, out pretending to surrender, with his gun caught between his legs, and lay prostrate on the ground. But as Omble neared him, Qasab fired. Five bullets entered Omble’s body, but he managed to pounce on Qasab and held him, completely immobilising him for a while. It was enough time for others to overpower Qasab. In the meantime, Bavdhankar and others lunged towards the driver of the Skoda (later identified as Ismail Khan). He fired, and the police retaliated. Ismail was killed.“It was all over in a few seconds. Omble with his bare hands had managed to do what has rarely been achieved in the world. He caught a fidayeen alive,” says Bavdhankar.

http://www.mumbaimirror.com/article/15/200812282008122802462773899d8ee47/How-many-of-you-recognise-this-man

Late Shri Tukaram Omble is a real hero and should be a role model for every Indian.

We owe to militants, Pak for peaceful voting: Farooq

Read the article on www.rediff.com and some comments on the blog are reproduced here which are representing the feelings.

http://www.rediff.com/news/2008/dec/28we-owe-to-militants-pak-for-peaceful-voting-farooq.htm

Why Farooq is not accepting the truth that Indian army and people of Kashmir made the electon succesfful. Well, I guess I was asked to write this column because I am one of that rare breed of foreign correspondents?a lover of Hindus! A born Frenchman, Catholic-educated and non-Hindu, I do hope I'll be given some credit for my opinions, which are not the product of my parents' ideas, my education or my atavism, but garnered from 25 years of reporting in South Asia (for Le Journal de Geneve and Le Figaro).

In the early 1980s, when I started freelancing in south India , doing photo features on kalaripayattu, the Ayyappa festival, or the Ayyanars, I slowly realised that the genius of this country lies in its Hindu ethos, in the true spirituality behind Hinduism. The average Hindu you meet in a million villages possesses this simple, innate spirituality and accepts your diversity, whether you are Christian or Muslim, Jain or Arab, French or Chinese. It is this Hinduness that makes the Indian Christian different from, say, a French Christian, or the Indian Muslim unlike a Saudi Muslim. I also learnt that Hindus not only believed that the divine could manifest itself at different times, under different names, using different scriptures (not to mention the wonderful avatar concept, the perfect answer to 21st century religious strife) but that they had also given refuge to persecuted minorities from across the world?Syrian Christians, Parsis, Jews, Armenians, and today, Tibetans. In 3,500 years of existence, Hindus have never militarily invaded another country, never tried to impose their religion on others by force or induced conversions.

You cannot find anybody less fundamentalist than a Hindu in the world and it saddens me when I see the Indian and western press equating terrorist groups like SIMI, which blow up innocent civilians, with ordinary, angry Hindus who burn churches without killing anybody. We know also that most of these communal incidents often involve persons from the same groups?often Dalits and tribals?some of who have converted to Christianity and others not.

However reprehensible the destruction of Babri Masjid, no Muslim was killed in the process; compare this to the 'vengeance' bombings of 1993 in Bombay , which wiped out hundreds of innocents, mostly Hindus. Yet the Babri Masjid destruction is often described by journalists as the more horrible act of the two. We also remember how Sharad Pawar, when he was chief minister of Maharashtra in 1993, lied about a bomb that was supposed to have gone off in a Muslim locality of Bombay .

I have never been politically correct, but have always written what I have discovered while reporting. Let me then be straightforward about this so-called Hindu terror. Hindus, since the first Arab invasions, have been at the receiving end of terrorism, whether it was by Timur, who killed 1,00,000 Hindus in a single day in 1399, or by the Portuguese Inquisition which crucified Brahmins in Goa . Today, Hindus are still being targeted: there were one million Hindus in the Kashmir valley in 1900; only a few hundred remain, the rest having fled in terror. Blasts after blasts have killed hundreds of innocent Hindus all over India in the last four years. Hindus, the overwhelming majority community of this country, are being made fun of, are despised, are deprived of the most basic facilities for one of their most sacred pilgrimages in Amarnath while their government heavily sponsors the Haj. They see their brothers and sisters converted to Christianity through inducements and financial traps, see a harmless 84-year-old swami and a sadhvi brutally murdered. Their gods are blasphemed.

So sometimes, enough is enough. At some point, after years or even centuries of submitting like sheep to slaughter, Hindus?whom the Mahatma once gently called cowards?erupt in uncontrolled fury. And it hurts badly. It happened in Gujarat . It happened in Jammu , then in Kandhamal, Mangalore, and Malegaon . It may happen again elsewhere. What should be understood is that this is a spontaneous revolution on the ground, by ordinary Hindus, without any planning from the political leadership. Therefore, the BJP, instead of acting embarrassed, should not disown those who choose other means to let their anguished voices be heard.

There are about a billion Hindus, one in every six persons on this planet. They form one of the most successful, law-abiding and integrated communities in the world today. Can you call them terrorists?

To know more about Francois Gautier click here

Sonia’s presence in Delhi is costing India dearly.

Sonia’s presence in Delhi is costing India dearly

François Gautier
First Published : 02 Dec 2008 02:37:00 AM IST
Last Updated : 02 Dec 2008 10:20:05 AM IST
In 1898, the French writer Emile Zola wrote an open letter to the then French president in the newspaper L’Aurore, titled j’accuse (‘I accuse’), where he accused the French government of anti- Semitism towards Captain Alfred Dreyfus, a Jewish officer unfairly condemned for treason.
Now it is time for the people of India to say openly that which many, including within the Congress, think secretly and may utter in the privacy of their chambers.
It is not about Manmohan Singh, it is not even about Shivraj Patil, the fall guy; it is about that one person, the Eminence Grise of India. She who pulls all the strings, She whose shadow looms menacingly over so many, She who holds no portfolio, is just a simple elected MP, like 540 others, but rules like an empress.
Sometimes, one’s very physical presence at the top is enough to move things, to influence the course of events. One word from Her, a glance, a frown, are enough to put the whole heavy, inert, unwilling machinery of India ’s bureaucracy and political system in full motion. Sometimes She need not say anything: in the true tradition of Bhakti, Her ministers, Her secretaries, interpret Her silences and rush to cater to Her western and Christian identity.
Nevertheless, she has said and acted enough so that one day she may stand accused on the pages of History for what she must have done to India .
I’accuse Sonia Gandhi as being responsible for the tragedy of Mumbai, having emasculated India’s intelligence agencies by stopping them from investigating terror attacks in the last four years, including the Mumbai train blasts. She has also neutralised the ATS by ordering them at all costs to ferret out ‘Hindu terrorism’, which if it exists, has wrought minuscule damage compared to what Islamic terror has done since 2004. Did the US send a warning to India that there may be an attack on Mumbai and that the Taj would be one of the targets? Were these ignored because the ATS was too busy chasing Hindu ‘terrorists’ on Sonia’s orders? I accuse Sonia and her government of having made the NSG the laughing stock of the world. How many times did the NSG (who took ten hours to reach Mumbai) claim that it had “sanitised the Taj and that the operation was over” and how many times did a bomb go off immediately after? For the last 20 years, the NSG has guarded VIPs and has become soft. See the comments of Israeli terror specialists, who said the NSG should have first sanitised the immediate surroundings of the places of conflict, kept the bystanders and press (who gave terrorists watching TV in the Taj rooms a perfect report of the security forces’ whereabouts) out of the place, gathered enough information about the position of the terrorists and hostages before taking action, instead of immediately engaging the terrorists, and ensuring the deaths of so many hostages.
I accuse Sonia of having let her Christian and Western background, in four years, divide India on religious and caste lines in a cynical and methodical manner.
I accuse Sonia of weakening India ’s spirit of sacrifice and courage, so that 20 terrorists (or less) held at ransom the financial capital of India for more than three days.
I accuse Sonia Gandhi of always pointing the finger at Pakistan , when terrorism in India is now mostly homegrown, even if it takes help, training, refuge and arms from Pakistan ; of not warning Indians of the grave dangers of Islamic terror for cynical election purposes.
I accuse Sonia of being an enemy of the Hindus, who always gave refuge to persecuted minorities, and who are the only people in the world to accept that God may manifest under different names, in different epochs, using different scriptures.
I accuse Sonia Gandhi of taking advantage of India ’s respect for women, its undue fascination with the Gandhi name, and its stupid mania for White Skin.
I’accuse Sonia of exploiting the Indian Press’ obsession with her. She hardly ever gave interview in 20 years, except scripted ones to NDTV, yet the Press always protects her, never blames her and keeps silent over her covert role.
I’accuse Sonia and her government of trying to make heroes of subservient and inefficient men to hide the humiliation of Mumbai 26/11. Before going to his death, Hemant Karkare, the ATS chief, was shown on television clumsily handling his helmet, as someone who uses it very rarely. Why did he die of bullet wounds in the chest when he was wearing a bullet-proof vest? Either Indian vests are inferior quality or he was not wearing one.
How did the terrorists who killed him and his fellow officer escape in the same vehicle used by the ATS chief ? Why did he and his officers go into Cama Hospital without ascertaining where the terrorists were? We honour his death, but these facts say a lot about the ATS’ battle-readiness.
Will someone in the Congress, someone who feels more Indian than faithful to Sonia, stand up and speak the truth? Who said, “Go after Hindu terrorists”? Who insisted on putting pressure on BJP governments in Karnataka or Orissa for so-called persecution of Christians, when Christians have always practised their faith in total freedom here, while their missionaries are converting hundreds of thousands of innocent tribals and Dalits with the billions of dollars given by gullible westerners? Who said, “Go soft on Islamic terrorism”? Who wants to do away with India’s nuclear deterrence in the face of Pakistani and Chinese nuclear threats, by pushing at all costs the one sided Indo-US nuclear deal, which makes no secret of its intention to denuclearise India militarily? I am sure Sonia Gandhi has good qualities: she probably was a good wife to Rajiv, a good daughter in law to Indira and by all accounts, she is a good mother to her children. One also hears first-hand reports about her concern for smaller people, her dignity in the suffering that befell her when her husband was blown to pieces, and her courtesy with visitors.
Nevertheless, she is a danger to India .
Her very presence, both physical and occult, open the doors to forces inimical to India . Even Indian Christians should understand that she is not a gift to them: her presence at the top has emboldened fanatics like John Dayal or Valson Thampu, who practise an orthodox Christianity prevalent in the West in the early 20th century, but no longer, to radicalise their flock. Indian Christians should recognise that they have a much better deal here than Christians or Hindus have in Pakistan , Bangladesh , Indonesia or Saudi Arabia .
Under Sonia’s rule, Indian Muslims, too, have been used as electoral pawns. They have been encouraged to shun the Sufi streak, a blend of the best of Islam and Vedanta, for a hard-line Sunni brand imported from Saudi Arabia , Pakistan and Afghanistan .
For the good of India, her civilisation, her immense spirituality and culture, Sonia Gandhi has to go and a government that thinks Indian, breathes nationalism and will protect its citizens must be voted to power.
— fgautier@auroville.org.in

People at risk but hundreds of crores to protect netas.

NEW DELHI/MUMBAI: While they seem unable to protect ordinary people from terrorist attacks, politicians, cutting across party lines, spend hundreds of crores of tax-payers' money to protect themselves. Some of them may be at genuine risk, but there are numerous politicians who surround themselves with gun-toting commandos to flaunt their `status' and end up harassing ordinary people by blocking traffic and pushing vehicles off the road. Over Rs 250 crore is spent on VIP protection — including VIPs like Deve Gowda, Amar Singh, Ram Vilas Paswan, Sajjan Kumar, B L Joshi, R L Bhatia, Sharad Yadav, Rameshwar Thakur, E Ahmad, Murli Manohar Joshi, Brij Bhushan Sharan and Pramod Tiwari. Most of these worthies are said to be facing little real risk. It's also questionable whether lakhs of rupees should be spent on the protection of some others, like Sajjan Kumar, who have murder cases against them. The explosion of VIP security has led to a ridiculous situation in which commandos meant for anti-terror operations have been diverted to protect politicians. The NSG, set up in 1984 for anti-hijack and anti-terror operations, has two wings--the Special Action Group (SAG), comprising army personnel on deputation, and the Special Rangers Group (SRG), comprising personnel from the ITBP, CISF, CRPF, BSF and SSB. More than half of SRG has been diverted to VIP security. This is in addition to the Special Protection Group (SPG) that is exclusively meant for providing security to the PM, former PMs and members of the Gandhi family. Interestingly, the SPG budget for 2008-09 is Rs 180 crore, up from Rs 117 crore the previous year, while the 2008-09 budget for NSG, which is meant to protect over a billion people from terror, is Rs 158 crore, down from Rs 159 crore crore the previous year. It's not only the SPG and NSG that protect our netas. In addition to them, every state diverts a sizeable number of policemen for VIP security. In Delhi, where the number of self-important politicians is highest, as many as 14,200 policemen have been deployed on round-the-clock VIP security duty. VIP security is broken up into five levels — SPG for those at the top of the heap, followed by the Z-plus, Z, Y and X categories. Z-plus security is provided by NSG `black cats' consisting of six personal security officers, two head constables, 12 constables, one escort and one pilot vehicle. Thirty politicians like L K Advani, Mayawati, Narendra Modi, Jayalalithaa, Murli Manohar Joshi, Amar Singh and Paswan are provided this cover. The pyramid gets wider at the lower level of security — 68 VIPs get Z category protection, 243 get Y category and 81 X category. Of course, all of them get to flash red lights on their cars and flaunt their status, generally viewed as a nuisance by the aam admi . So intrusive is their security that the Delhi high court was recently provoked into saying, ``Politicians are not national assets that need to be protected.''

Article reproduced from http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/3786239.cms?TOI_mostemailed

Congradulations Indian Hackers.

The website http://pimsat-khi.edu.pk/ is hacked by Indian Hackers.
Congradulations !!!
Pakistan will loose any war against India.
Vande Mataram.
